As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas at a chemical and petrochemical location, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment for all personnel and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and deliver exceptional customer service while communicating with staff and guests. What You'll Do:

  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering and/or leaving the premises.
  • Assist with enforcing site-specific policies and procedures related to access control within a chemical and petrochemical environment.
  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by answering questions and offering assistance as needed while carrying out security-related procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and report any unusual activity.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of access control activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and site management.
  • Collaborate with site staff and emergency responders as needed during emergency response activities.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A Transportation Security Administration issued Transportation Worker Identification Credential is required.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
