As a Security Officer - Mall Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents and create a welcoming environment for customers and staff. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and deliver outstanding customer service through clear communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, guests, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, responding to emergency situations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activity, maintenance issues, or hazards encountered during patrols to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and maintaining awareness of the flow of people within the location.
  • Support loss prevention efforts by maintaining a visible presence and reporting any concerns related to potential theft or policy violations.
  • Collaborate with store management and Allied Universal team members to address security-related matters and provide a welcoming atmosphere for customers.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A Guard Card or security-related license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
