As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned shelter locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and provide peace of mind to those onsite. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the shelter and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and address potential concerns.
  • Monitor the premises for unusual behavior or activity, reporting observations as required.
  • Assist shelter staff and residents with security-related matters and inquiries.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of incidents, activities, and patrols as directed by Allied Universal policies.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency responders when appropriate, following established protocols.
  • Remain alert and prepared to respond to emergencies or incidents that may arise within the shelter environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
  • Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Have supervisory experience.
  • Have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience or 2 years of security supervisor or manager experience or 3 years of security-related experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Have at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience or possess a college degree.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Have at least 5 years of security-related experience.
  • Possess a corrections officer license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
