Job Description


As a Security Officer - Access Control Highrise in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. As a Screener at a premier hotel and resort location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for guests, staff, and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to guests and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the hotel and resort location.
  • Screen individuals and/or belongings entering the premises to help to deter prohibited items or activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols and client guidelines.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or security-related incidents.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of screening activities, incidents, and observations as required.
  • Communicate professionally with guests, staff, and emergency personnel as needed.
  • Support emergency response activities and assist with evacuations or other site-specific protocols when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
