Job Description


As a Security Guard – Full-Time Patrol - Healthcare in Pittsburgh, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned hospital areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming environment for staff, patients, and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and provide outstanding customer service while upholding our values of integrity, teamwork, and putting people first. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies within the healthcare location, including responding to emergencies as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with security-related needs as they arise.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and support a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors.
  • Observe and report any irregularities, such as property damage, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences, to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or client representatives.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying identification when necessary, and helping to maintain an orderly flow of people within the healthcare location.
  • Provide support during emergency situations, following established protocols and working with Allied Universal team members and/or client staff as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Vaccinations are required for work at this hospital site.
  • Work may involve duties in the hospital morgue.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals as required by the hospital site.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
