Job Description


As a Security Officer - Healthcare Patrol Full-Time in Seattle, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a leading healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Your presence and customer service skills will help to deter security-related incidents and foster a welcoming atmosphere. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate within a healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the well-being of staff, patients, and visitors.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain awareness of those entering or leaving the location.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual situations encountered during patrols or as reported by staff and visitors.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, patients, visitors, and emergency personnel as needed.
  • Follow all Allied Universal and site-specific protocols, policies, and procedures as required by the healthcare location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Vaccinations required for hospital assignments.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
