Job Description


As a Security Officer - Telecom Facility Patrol in Crystal City, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Patrol Unarmed Officer supporting a dynamic tech and media location. You will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing Allied Universal protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry to restricted areas within the location.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity, hazards, or security-related concerns to site management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Support emergency response efforts and assist first responders as directed during incidents at the site.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs and incident reports in accordance with Allied Universal and client requirements.
  • Interact with employees, visitors, and contractors in a professional manner, providing assistance and information as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
