As a Security Officer - Storefront Patrol Driver in Columbia, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a leading retail location, you will conduct regular patrols and remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents and foster a welcoming environment for all visitors. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver's license. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities within the retail location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, addressing situations as they arise on the premises.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail environment and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel and/or law enforcement as directed by site-specific policies.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points, helping to manage the flow of people and/or vehicles as required by site procedures.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and security-related events according to Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
