What You'll Do:

  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the utility facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or potential threats.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific protocols and procedures.
  • Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies as directed by Allied Universal and the location management.
  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by assisting with inquiries and access control.
  • Monitor and report any irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
  • Participate in emergency response activities as required by the location and Allied Universal protocols.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and patrol findings.
  • Communicate with Allied Universal management and location personnel regarding security-related matters and/or incidents.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Possess a valid TSA issued Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
  • Hold a valid armed guard card or license.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
