Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver in Chattanooga, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. This role requires both armed and driving responsibilities as you respond to incidents and interact with the public, delivering outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while adhering to protocols for government locations.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and perimeter, including both indoor and outdoor areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor for suspicious activity and report any irregularities according to established procedures.
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings and communicate with team members to support a secure environment.
  • Carry out access control duties, verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points as required for government facilities.
  • Document incidents and observations in detailed reports for review by Allied Universal and site management.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Pepper spray certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
