Job Description


As a Security Officer - Manufacturing Patrols in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. By conducting regular patrols and remaining highly visible, you play a key role in maintaining a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as directed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support a secure environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the manufacturing and industrial location, including the business and perimeter areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activity or potential hazards to appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of all activities, incidents, and observations during patrols.
  • Collaborate with site staff and Allied Universal management to address security-related needs and concerns.
  • Remain alert and attentive while on duty to help to deter potential threats and uphold site policies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • X Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
