You will conduct routine patrols, respond promptly to incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the assigned location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Monitor for suspicious behavior or unauthorized access and report findings promptly according to established protocols.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential security-related concerns within the government location.
  • Carry and responsibly handle authorized firearms in accordance with company and site-specific guidelines.
  • Assist in controlling access to restricted areas and verify credentials as required.
  • Complete detailed incident and activity reports as required by Allied Universal and the site.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders when needed.
  • Participate in ongoing training and exercises to stay current with security-related procedures and requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be able to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
