As a Security Officer - Armed Healthcare Patrol in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols to help to deter security-related incidents while remaining visible and approachable. Your presence and attention to detail contribute to a welcoming environment for staff and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the healthcare location, including both the business interior and perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious activities.
• Document and report all incidents and observations according to site protocols.
• Assist staff, visitors, and/or patients with directions and information as needed while maintaining a visible presence.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when required.
• Maintain awareness of surroundings and report any hazards or security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must possess an active armed guard card or license as required.
• Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
