As a Security Officer - Utilities Badge Monitor in Carmel, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As a Patrol Officer at a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. You will remain visible throughout the property, respond to situations as needed, and support access control efforts. This is a driving post. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Monitor and report any unusual or suspicious behavior within the utilities environment.
• Assist with access control and verify credentials of individuals entering restricted areas.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities and incidents as required by Allied Universal and the client site.
• Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and/or contractors to provide information or assistance as needed.
• Support emergency response activities according to established protocols for the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Candidates must have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
