As a Security Guard - Flex School Patrol in Hattiesburg, MS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents while supporting a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the location in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus buildings and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents to the appropriate authorities and/or Allied Universal management.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying identification as required, and helping to direct visitors as needed.
  • Collaborate with campus personnel to support security-related awareness and contribute to a positive community atmosphere.
  • Document and maintain detailed reports of daily activities, incidents, and/or irregularities encountered during patrols or while on post.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
