As a Security Officer - Telecom Entry Screener in Auburndale, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener in a dynamic tech and media environment, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help deter security-related incidents and contribute to a secure atmosphere. What You'll Do:

• Greet and screen individuals entering the location, verifying identification and credentials according to site-specific policies.
• Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry to restricted areas.
• Provide customer service by addressing questions and assisting visitors, employees, and contractors as needed.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner following established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter security-related risks and identify potential concerns.
• Maintain accurate logs and documentation of all activities, incidents, and observations during the shift.
• Support emergency response activities as directed by site-specific protocols and Allied Universal guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
