Job Description


As a Security Officer - Front Desk Entry Monitor in Glendale, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and tenants. You will support a welcoming environment by assisting guests, monitoring access, and addressing security-related concerns. This role offers the opportunity to provide outstanding customer service while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first in a dynamic and professional setting.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, guests, and tenants by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk of a commercial real estate location.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials, and assist with visitor management to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or activity.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the front desk in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities as required by site procedures.
  • Communicate professionally with property management, tenants, and Allied Universal staff to relay information and address any concerns.
  • Assist in emergency response activities as directed, including coordinating with emergency personnel and providing clear instructions to building occupants.
  • Maintain a visible and approachable presence at the front desk to help to deter unwanted behavior and provide assistance as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
