Job Description


As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol Full-Time in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. You will conduct routine patrols, interact with the public, and deliver exceptional customer service while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and people-first care. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, responding to situations as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for emergency response.
  • Monitor the premises for unusual activity and report findings according to Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Work collaboratively with local authorities and site personnel as required to address security-related concerns.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of patrols, incidents, and other activities as required by the site and Allied Universal.
  • Remain alert and prepared to respond to emergencies or requests for assistance within the government location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess a valid concealed carry weapons permit.
  • Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
  • Possess an armed guard card or armed guard license.
  • Provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
