What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding appropriately during emergency situations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the assigned location and its perimeter, remaining alert to any unusual activity or potential threats.
  • Monitor for and report any suspicious behavior, activities, or items in order to help to deter unauthorized actions within the location.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential incidents and provide reassurance to employees, visitors, and the general public.
  • Operate and handle assigned equipment responsibly, including any required for an armed post, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, and activities during assigned shifts.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement and/or emergency personnel when required, following established protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess a valid Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
  • Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
  • Possess a valid armed guard card or armed guard license.
  • Provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
