As a Security Officer - Access Control in CHANNAHON , IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control professional with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated areas within a chemical or petrochemical location, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible. You will interact with employees and visitors, provide outstanding customer service, and utilize access control systems. What You'll Do:

• Perform access control duties at the location, including verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access.
• Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and contractors with site-specific procedures and policies.
• Carry out security-related procedures as outlined in site-specific policies, responding to incidents and emergencies as needed in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to observe and report any unusual activity or potential security-related concerns.
• Respond promptly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel as required.
• Maintain accurate records and logs of all activities, observations, and incidents during the shift.
• Collaborate with other Allied Universal personnel and site staff to maintain a security-related presence and support the operations at the chemical or petrochemical location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
