As a Security Guard - Distribution Access Control in Elmsford, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control professional with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entrances and exits, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

• Assist with access control procedures at the location, verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access.
• Provide customer service by answering questions and assisting visitors, employees, and/or delivery personnel as needed.
• Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies, including responding to alarms and emergencies in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and maintain a visible Allied Universal presence.
• Document and report incidents, observations, and/or irregularities according to company and client protocols.
• Collaborate with site management and local authorities as required to support security-related initiatives and emergency response activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
