What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors in a healthcare environment by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing armed response protocols as required by the location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or potential threats.
• Monitor access points and verify identification of individuals entering and exiting the healthcare location to help to deter unauthorized access.
• Complete detailed and accurate reports on observations, incidents, and activities during assigned shifts.
• Collaborate with healthcare staff and local law enforcement as needed to help to deter and respond to security-related situations.
• Maintain awareness of the unique needs and sensitivities of a healthcare environment while performing all assigned duties.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a valid New Jersey RPO certificate.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
