Job Description


As a Security Officer - Access Control Manufacturing in Fernandina Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor entry points, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents while remaining visible throughout the site. You will play a crucial role in maintaining a secure environment and providing outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Control access to the location by verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points.
  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
  • Monitor security-related systems such as cameras and alarms to help to deter unauthorized access or suspicious activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter potential issues and observe for irregularities.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities as required by Allied Universal and client protocols.
  • Support emergency response activities when appropriate, including assisting with evacuations or other procedures as directed.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted activity and provide reassurance to employees and visitors within the manufacturing and industrial location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
