As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol - Retail in Harlingen, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal at a leading retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a welcoming environment for all. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing de-escalation techniques as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas within the retail environment to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of activities, incidents, and observations during each shift.
• Collaborate with store personnel and/or law enforcement as needed to address security-related issues or emergencies.
• Remain alert and aware of surroundings at all times while on patrol, maintaining a professional presence as a representative of Allied Universal.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Hold a Level III armed certification if applying in Texas.
• Be able to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
