What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the location and its perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor for and report any security-related hazards, maintenance issues, or unusual circumstances observed during patrols.
  • Interact professionally with employees, visitors, and/or contractors, providing assistance and information as needed.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of patrols, incidents, and daily activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client requirements.
  • Operate and maintain assigned security-related equipment, including firearms, in accordance with company policies and training.
  • Follow all site-specific protocols for access control, visitor management, and emergency procedures at the utilities location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A valid concealed carry weapons permit is required.
  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid armed guard card or license is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
