Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Medical Patrol in Memphis, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer, where you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence within a healthcare location. This is an armed and driving position, offering the opportunity to interact with staff and visitors while delivering outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter potential security-related issues.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and protect people and property within the location.
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings and communicate any observed irregularities or security-related concerns to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives.
  • Assist medical staff, visitors, and patients with wayfinding and general information as needed.
  • Complete incident reports and daily activity logs accurately and in a timely manner, following Allied Universal protocols.
  • Remain prepared to respond to emergencies, including medical incidents, disturbances, and/or alarms, in accordance with site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
