Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Site Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer, where you will monitor and patrol government locations to help deter security-related incidents and provide a visible presence. You will conduct routine patrols, interact with the public, and deliver outstanding customer service while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and innovation. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor and report any suspicious behavior or security-related concerns to the appropriate authorities and/or management.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to staff, visitors, and the public.
  • Operate as an armed professional while adhering to all applicable laws, regulations, and Allied Universal protocols.
  • Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and promptly.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services as needed during incidents.
  • Participate in ongoing training and maintain all required certifications for armed security-related duties.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Baton certification and permit is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
