Job Description


As a Security Officer - Utilities Desk Monitor in New Albany, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal, you will be the first point of contact at a utilities location, providing exceptional customer service while monitoring access and assisting visitors. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a welcoming atmosphere. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. What You'll Do:

  • Greet visitors and employees in a professional manner while monitoring access to the location.
  • Follow security-related procedures and site-specific policies as directed by Allied Universal and client guidelines.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Monitor entry and exit points at the front desk to help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Maintain accurate logs and records of visitors, deliveries, and security-related incidents.
  • Communicate promptly with Allied Universal management and/or client representatives regarding security-related matters as needed.
  • Provide customer service support by assisting visitors and employees with inquiries related to access and security-related protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
