Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Full-Time in Saint Louis, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a financial institution setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. Your role involves conducting routine patrols and delivering exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
  • Perform regular and random armed patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and control entry to restricted areas, verifying identification and permissions as required by site protocols.
  • Document and report any suspicious activities, incidents, or security-related observations according to established procedures.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders when necessary, following Allied Universal protocols.
  • Maintain visibility throughout the location to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.
  • Adhere to all legal and regulatory requirements related to armed security-related duties and the handling of firearms.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Have customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
