Job Description


As a Security Officer - Hospital Patrol Driver in Fort Oglethorpe, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. You will be visible throughout the facility, provide outstanding customer service, and communicate clearly with all individuals. This position requires driving responsibilities, making it essential to meet Allied Universal's driver policy requirements.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within the healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the needs of staff, patients, and visitors.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or potential disruptions.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious activity.
  • Communicate clearly with team members, staff, and visitors to address questions, provide directions, and assist as needed.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and maintenance concerns according to site procedures.
  • Support evacuation procedures and assist with emergency drills as directed by site leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of vaccination is required for hospital assignments.
  • Ability to work in a hospital morgue is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Ability to restrain individuals is required for hospital assignments.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
