As a Security Officer - Financial Desk Operations in Jersey City, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal at a leading financial institution location, you will be the first point of contact, greeting visitors and managing access control. Your role involves monitoring entry points, providing exceptional customer service, and assisting with security-related inquiries. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the front desk.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Monitor access to the location, verifying identification and credentials as required by site-specific policies.
• Assist with managing visitor logs and maintaining accurate records of individuals entering and leaving the location.
• Communicate promptly and clearly with management, staff, and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Support efforts to help deter unauthorized access or suspicious activity in the immediate area of the front desk.
• Maintain a visible presence at the front desk to help deter unwanted behaviors and provide assistance as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
