As a Security Guard - Armed Government Patrol in Lakeland, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide peace of mind to those on site. You will conduct routine patrols and respond to incidents as needed, all while delivering outstanding customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergencies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and verify identification of individuals entering restricted areas in accordance with location protocols.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and actions taken during patrols and/or incident response.
  • Support law enforcement personnel as needed and follow all applicable regulations and procedures related to armed security posts.
  • Remain alert to changes in the environment and communicate any unusual activity or hazards to the appropriate authorities and/or Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience.
  • Possess a corrections officer license.
  • Possess a law enforcement officer license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
