Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Arrestee Transport in New Port Richey, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer, where you will monitor and patrol government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a reassuring presence. This role requires both armed and driving responsibilities. You will interact with the public, deliver exceptional customer service, and contribute to a secure environment through teamwork and integrity, all while upholding our company's values of reliability, agility, and innovation.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for irregularities.
  • Monitor and report any suspicious activities, security-related hazards, or unusual situations to appropriate personnel.
  • Interact with visitors, staff, and/or the public in a courteous and professional manner while upholding security-related protocols.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate incident and daily activity reports as required by Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
  • Remain alert and aware of surroundings to help to deter potential threats or breaches of security-related protocols at the government location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least two years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
