Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol Driver in New Port Richey, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will actively monitor and patrol government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a visible presence. This role requires both armed and driving responsibilities as you interact with the community and respond to situations as needed. You will deliver exceptional customer service, uphold our values of teamwork and integrity, and contribute to a secure environment through your professionalism and dedication.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training and good judgment.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter prohibited activity and maintain a visible presence.
  • Complete security-related reports and documentation accurately and promptly as required by Allied Universal and the client site.
  • Work collaboratively with law enforcement and/or emergency personnel when incidents arise.
  • Remain alert and attentive to surroundings to help to deter security-related threats or hazards.
  • Follow all Allied Universal and client site protocols regarding the handling and use of firearms and other assigned equipment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience are required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
