Job Description


As a Security Guard - Armed Federal Building Patrol in Homestead, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and remaining highly visible throughout a government location. This role requires driving and may involve bike patrols. You will provide exceptional customer service and communication, contributing to a secure environment. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the assigned location and perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and promoting a secure environment.
  • Monitor for suspicious activity or potential threats, reporting observations according to site protocols.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help discourage unwanted behavior and/or access violations.
  • Interact professionally with members of the public, clients, and staff, offering assistance as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare incident reports as required by Allied Universal and location guidelines.
  • Adhere to all applicable legal requirements and Allied Universal policies regarding the carrying and use of firearms while on duty.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be able to ride a bike.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
