Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Bike Patrol in Homestead, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer supporting government locations. In this dynamic role, you will patrol assigned areas, help to deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service through clear communication. This position requires both armed and driving responsibilities, offering the opportunity to be an integral part of a team that values reliability, agility, and integrity while putting people first.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate protocols for an armed patrol post.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the assigned location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and observe for unusual conditions.
  • Monitor and report on access control points, checking for appropriate credentials and/or identification as required by site procedures.
  • Document and report all incidents, observations, and actions taken during the shift in accordance with Allied Universal and client protocols.
  • Assist law enforcement and/or emergency responders as needed by providing information and support during incidents at the location.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to employees, visitors, and the public within the government environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be able to ride a bike.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
