Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents, and you will provide outstanding customer service while responding to situations as needed. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within the healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as directed, including evacuations and/or lockdowns as needed.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to site requirements.
  • Communicate professionally with staff, patients, and visitors to address inquiries and provide directions or assistance as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to maintain a welcoming and secure environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be able to work in a hospital environment where vaccines are required.
  • Must be able to work in a hospital environment that includes morgue areas.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals as part of security-related duties.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
