As a Security Guard - Facility Patrol Driver in Roanoke, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will actively monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents. Your visible presence and strong customer service skills will contribute to a welcoming environment. This is a driving post, so you will operate a vehicle as part of your patrol duties. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas within the manufacturing and industrial environment to help to deter and report suspicious activity.
• Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and irregularities in accordance with Allied Universal procedures.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with site personnel, visitors, and emergency responders as required.
• Assist with access control, visitor management, and enforcing site-specific rules and policies as directed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
