Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Driver Patrol in Lexington Park, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned financial institution locations, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. This is an armed and driving post, where you will conduct routine patrols and respond to situations as needed, while providing exceptional customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $24.51 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the financial institution and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or breaches.
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings and report any unusual or suspicious activity to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives.
  • Assist with access control procedures, verifying identification and/or credentials as required by site protocols.
  • Prepare and submit reports on incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal and client policies.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services as needed during incidents or emergencies at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required as required by the client.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
