As a Security Guard - Flex Armed Government in Atlanta, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols and maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support a secure environment while providing outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, responding as appropriate to emergency situations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter potential security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other designated areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
  • Interact with employees, visitors, and/or the public in a courteous manner, providing assistance and information as needed.
  • Remain alert and prepared to respond to emergencies and/or requests for assistance in accordance with established procedures.
  • Carry and maintain proficiency with assigned firearms and related equipment as required for an armed patrol post.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
