As a Security Officer - Auto Center Patrol - Part Time in Normal, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at an automotive location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, remaining visible to help to deter security-related incidents and provide outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the automotive facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or access.
• Observe and report any unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
• Maintain detailed and accurate logs and reports of daily activities and incidents as required by Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
• Assist visitors, employees, and contractors with directions and information relevant to the location.
• Work collaboratively with site personnel and Allied Universal team members to support a secure and welcoming environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• A valid guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
