What You'll Do:

  • Provide excellent customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for armed personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and control entry to restricted areas in accordance with site policies.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted behavior and provide reassurance to clients and the public.
  • Document and report incidents, observations, and activities in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Work collaboratively with law enforcement or emergency responders as required by the situation.
  • Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and Allied Universal policies regarding the carrying and use of firearms while on duty.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
