Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Hospital Patrol in Dunn, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will conduct regular patrols and maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. Your role involves monitoring assigned areas, addressing incidents as they arise, and providing outstanding customer service to all visitors and staff. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or security-related incidents.
  • Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry or suspicious behavior within the healthcare environment.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate reports regarding security-related incidents, observations, and activities during assigned shifts.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff and emergency responders during incidents to support a secure environment.
  • Remain alert to potential security-related hazards and report concerns according to established procedures.
  • Operate security-related equipment and communication devices as required for the post.
  • Support Allied Universal’s commitment to customer service and professionalism in all interactions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
