As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible, and provide outstanding customer service and communication, all while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed response.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or security-related incidents.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter criminal activity and/or disruptive behavior within the healthcare location.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal and client site protocols.
  • Assist with access control by verifying identification and/or credentials of individuals entering restricted areas.
  • Support medical staff and visitors during emergencies, including assisting with evacuations, crowd control, and/or other response activities as directed.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders when necessary to address incidents on site.

Minimum Requirements:

  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
