What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter theft, vandalism and/or other unwanted behavior within the retail environment.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards or suspicious activities according to site policies and Allied Universal procedures.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials when necessary, and directing individuals as appropriate.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors and team members to provide information and assistance as required.

Minimum Requirements:

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
