As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol - Full Time in Washington, DC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned government locations, remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will conduct regular patrols, interact with the public, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. This role is a driving post, requiring you to operate a vehicle as part of your patrol duties, all while upholding our values of integrity, teamwork, and putting people first.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
• Observe and report any suspicious activities or potential hazards to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control and verify identification of individuals entering or exiting the premises.
• Help to deter unauthorized activity by maintaining a visible presence throughout the location.
• Complete required reports and logs in accordance with Allied Universal policies and client requirements.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and team members while on duty.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
