What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the healthcare environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including the interior and perimeter of the healthcare location, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain awareness of the flow of individuals throughout the premises.
  • Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activity, hazards, or security-related incidents according to established protocols.
  • Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and emergency personnel as needed to address security-related concerns and provide information or assistance.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of activities, incidents, and observations as required by site-specific policies.
  • Support a welcoming and orderly environment for patients, visitors, and staff by upholding Allied Universal standards and the requirements specific to the healthcare location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
