As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver - Retail Site in Union City, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will be responsible for conducting routine patrols throughout retail and mall locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. You will interact with the public, deliver exceptional customer service, and communicate clearly, embodying our values of teamwork, reliability, and integrity while putting people first.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives as required.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points within the premises.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or other unwanted activity.
  • Complete security-related logs, reports, and documentation as directed by site procedures and Allied Universal policies.
  • Collaborate with other Allied Universal personnel and client staff to address security-related matters in a professional manner.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • This is primarily a driving post and is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
