As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol Specialist PT in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned financial institution locations, remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, respond to incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide excellent customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including both the business interior and perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry or suspicious behavior within the financial institution environment.
  • Report and document any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to company and client procedures.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to employees, clients, and visitors.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders as required during incidents or emergencies.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and training requirements, including those related to the carrying and use of firearms.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or equivalent as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • An armed guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
