Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Financial Institution in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a financial institution, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a reassuring presence. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and deliver exceptional customer service while carrying out armed responsibilities. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergencies as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, utilizing de-escalation techniques when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the financial institution premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and maintain a visible Allied Universal presence.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious activity or policy violations.
  • Collaborate with site personnel and law enforcement as needed during incidents or emergencies, maintaining clear and professional communication.
  • Document all incidents, observations, and activities according to established protocols and provide detailed reports to management.
  • Remain alert to potential security-related risks specific to financial institutions, such as theft, fraud, or unauthorized access, and take appropriate action as directed by site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • An armed guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
